  • I’m having a really productive day.  I went through the Sunday paper and highlighted all the jobs that sounded good.  Then I wrote, for each job, a cover letter and resume, which I Emailed.  I still have two to fax, but they didn’t sound that great.  I got my article done and sent off, and I wrote half of my assignment for Wednesday.  Plus I met my old boss for a drink and said, “I’ll just have a coke.”  What a day!

I still haven’t paid my bills and for dinner I had popcorn and pineapple, but it was fresh.  I didn’t write my 1000 words today but I gave myself the day off for good behavior.

  • Sounds like a great day! BTW, did you see my comment re: idea of doing protected posts of our novels-in-progress? I do find the idea that someone else will read what I am writing motivating in terms of writing and editing… And I LOVE popcorn, it’s my true weakness… that’s, blush, what I had for dinner Sun night, with lots of melted butter (though I did have fresh salmon baked in foil with butter and lemon slices for lunch at least)… :)

  • Holy moly, that WAS a productive day! What did you eat for breakfast? Got any extra?

  • Boy, you were sizzlin’ today. Congratulations on all that hard work. I forget if I’ve ever suggested OHSU as a place to look in your job hunt. It’s the 4th largest employer in the state and the benefits are unbeatable. They have pretty much every kind of job there is up there. BTW, isn’t that the power of the internet to have your writing show up in someone else’s dream. LOL. Thanks for sharing that.

  • Hi, my name is Sare.  I really like your writing style.  If it’s ok, I’ll come back and read your blog often.

What kind of book are you writing? I like to write a lot, but I find that I don’t know how to start. I’m ok when I have short stories, but as soon as it passes the 1000 word mark, I start to get ichy to wrap it up, so nothing every gets past 1500 words. Which is pretty pathetic.

On the subject of paying your bills, I used to do the same thing that you do, until I found that my Bank has a really great, safe online banking option. I now pay all of my bills online.  I find that it really helps.

  • woah…look at you go! there’s no holding you back once you get moving! i like brendaclews idea too… except i’d have to give up a blogring and it has to be protected. i won’t post stuff i plan to sell- just to be safe….

  • I want some pineapple now. You’ve inspired me to the munchies. I’m very shallow today.

  • You really seem to have got done a lot. Hope you have more of such days.
