  • Stuff always comes to me in the shower.  When I was done shaving my legs, I put the razor up and stood for a moment appreciating the fact that there was any hot water left.  This house has an inadequate hot water heater.  The plumber had been here earlier installing my reverse osmosis water filter.  I now have even less water pressure, in the shower. But as I stood there savoring the thin, warm flow, it reminded me of my approach to life.  I take what little I can get.

  • ‘I take what little I can get’ . I think, once we learn that, life becomes  easier.

  • Me, too, yeah.

I had all my pipes replaced last winter, after about three freezing breakages.  Now my water pressure sucks. *sigh* But I don’t worry about not having water or flooding the neighborhood while I’m away.

And, yeah.  I do some of my best thinking in the shower.  I’d call them Shower Moments or something, but that just sounds so…risque? lol

    Never stop dreaming big.

  • now… if only there was a way to take notes in the shower too!

  • I love that….I sometimes feel that way…

  • Showering makes for a great place to think. I shave in the shower, but not my legs. I shave my head and face. I was working on a waterproof pen and notepad for the shower, but I’ll leave that up to an inventor with a little better work ethic.

Also, I don’t see it as “taking what little I can get” I see it as living simply, because the simple life is best. Treat life good and it will treat you the same. Wow, that reads like some danged old Hallmark card, doesn’t it?

As for your shower pressure, try changing shower heads. I went from the typical bell shaped head to one that is designed for low water pressure (which I have). It is a small head, not much bigger around than the pipe itself. It is solid metal, no plastic parts, and reminds me of the ones I used in the showers in high school gym (back in the seventies) I’ve had mine for over ten years, and it has never clogged with hard water build-up in all that times. We have very hard water around here. I hope this helps. Advice is free, good advice or bad advice, we don’t discriminate around here.

  • Isn’t that the truth.
Our water heater is the last remaining original appliance in the house. it’s days, I fear, are numbered. There is never enough hot water!
