Currency trading has engulfed me. I’m about to switch over to using real money instead of paper trading like I’ve been doing Every day from 8:30 – 1:30 and then when I get home from work, 9:30 – 1:30 a.m., I spend learning Forex.
Remember the guy who taught me about stocks? Well, now I’ve found a guy who writes about currencies. He’s a fantastic writer, an excellent teacher, and he’s got a sense of humor. I’ve learned enough that I think I can start risking real money. And I think my timing is good as I believe we are approaching another period of high volatility which should provide lots of fluxuation.
I have a question. My children and various friends are urging me to get on Facebook. I like the idea of easy connection with people but I don’t want any of it leading back here. I like the sanctuary and privacy of my secret place here with just a few close friends.
Nor do I want to waste time with yet another computer activity. My pants are getting tight. I sit all day and night now, not a usual position and not a healthy one. If I avoided the games do you find that it’s reasonable to plan on spending just a couple hours a week there?

my experience is that i spend more time than i think i will at facebook, but i really like it there. you can put privacy security on and no worries. if you get a page…have fun!
It’s an easily addictive sort of place, but you have willpower.
Facebook is nearly a complete waste of time. Unless you want to play Mafia. Or have a cafe. Or a farm. It’s more games than anything else.
It’s not for networking. Although I suppose you can try.
I have a Facebook page but I rarely go there and I rarely update it. It’s there if anyone wants to find me and it’s nice that I can get a reminder when people have birthdays, but I don’t let it occupy too much of my time. Maybe .5-1 hour per week.
I have a facebook page only to give me access to pictures of my grand niece in CA. Other than that I find it irritating and weird. And it is NOT for blogging, just one line comments. I’ve even heard people complain if someone writes too much. I guess I just don’t get it, and don’t really want to. Not that I’m much of a Xangan anymore either, but it still feels a lot warmer and more “real” than FB ever does. Plus it’s all real names, real stuff and I don’t like people having access to all that info. Like who my friends are etc. I think I’m just too old for it!
hey Wyatt Earp…
Just checking in to wish you a merry christmas and a safe and prosperous new year. I have taken liberties with your good nature and, at times, pushed your buttons, all intended to be in good fun. You are a kind hearted person for not calling me out when I have gone too far (grin).
Thanks and thanks again.
Peace,
Jay
Time for my annual Holiday Greeting.
Here it comes…
“Greetings for the Holidays!!”
Tell me the truth, I can take it. How was it for you?

Happy Holidays, Wyatt Earp. Hope you are still “kickin’”.
