You’re probably getting tired of reading about food but I don’t care because this is really helping me to eat more balanced and remember to drink my fluids.
Breakfast was tea and toast sans the peanut butter. That was at 5:00. Then around 8 I had steak hash. It’s something I always make when I’m camping. Everything is diced the same. I saute mushrooms, sweet onion, and red pepper (I wait until the onion is soft before adding the peppers) along with cooked potato. I add the steak, garlic, and parsley at the last minute. I ate half of it.
Lunch was tuna salad. I put celery and pickles and curry with lots of mayo in it and I use good tuna in oil.
Snack was a piece of toast with the rest of the tuna spread.
Dinner (late) was celery root and BBQ chicken thighs. I had two.
My body is calling out for sugar.
Oh, and I didn’t want to mention it but when I was waiting for the chicken to cook I snitched a little avacodo and some pepperoncinis. I know, I eat a lot.
2 water/ 6 tea

What’s wrong with avocado and pepperoncinis (pepper-cheenees
)? I love tuna salad. I never thought to put curry in it; I’ll have to try that next time. I always use the okay stuff in water, but that’s just what I was raised on. Celery and pickles (dill only) win. I love food talk!
Food, glorious food…
I don’t think you eat a lot. But then I don’t think I eat a lot either and my body says otherwise.
I love celery in tuna salad but I don’t find many people who make it that way. Wonder why?
Healthful food. I am drooling again:)
I don’t think you eat a lot at all. My mom eats about 6 times a day. It seems like she’s always eating or hungry. She has managed to lose weight, while my husband and I, trying not to eat too much, have not lost any weight (and we need to lose). I know exercise is my downfall. I need to get moving. Anyway, my point is that you seem to eat right for you and you do have activity as part of the whole.
I have heard that multiple small meals is the way to a healthy metabolism though. It all sounds delicious. Not sick of hearing about it either. So there. It’s a great way to use the blog IMO.
My body calls out for sweet. If I can make it fake sugar or honey I do, but sometimes sweet is necessary feeling. I had BBQ chicken too. After that the sweets were satisfied. Thighs would be better. I used the ends of some frozen chicken breasts and it was super dry. Eh, I am jsut happy I can afford to eat. Food prices here are going mad.
Steak hash sounds GREAT. I drink a lot of green tea, too.
But not the decaffeinated kind. And I drink it with ice in it, generally.
I love reading this stuff. You eat creatively and it’s fun to read. Multiple small meals is the way to go, I think, but I have a hard time doing it myself. I love lunches where I’ve got good leftovers to combine in a salad or something. Today was lettuce, small white beans, artichoke hearts, and sweet and sour cabbage. I was bad and put Ranch dressing on it. I do like my Ranch.
The sweet and sour cabbage was left over from dinner the other night and made a really good addition. From a homegrown red cabbage, making it all the more fun. We love hash. Just made chicken hash for dinner last night, like steak hash but no gravy and with grated cheese and you had to put ketchup on it. Yum.
