I just took this off protected because I got his permission to write about him or us or whatever I want.
It’s way too late to be writing but I said I’d tell you about him so I will give a quick description. We just got back from an amazing night of adventure so my memory is fresh. He wore the black beret and he always carries his cane. His sport coat was gray gaberdine with a bit of pattern. I remember faint lines running through it. The salt-and-pepper beard, which I love, looked good against the black of his dress shirt. That had an interesting collar. He probably wore black jeans. I could feel the thick fabric when I patted his knee, wanting to direct his attention to the dance floor. He shares his glasses with me, and they seem just as well suited to a woman. He certainly wears more jewelry than I, what with the rings and fancy watch. He even has longer hair, when it’s not in the usual ponytail. His lips look full and soft, and he’s got the bluest eyes that hold mine longer and longer. I like being with this man who has so much presence.

ryc: Yes, right. But I’ve posted lots of pics before, thought you knew. Hair was very short– that was the one (and only) time I told my niece, ny hairstylist, to do whatever she wanted. She just hates long hair I think. anyway thanks for the comments, that bit about the teenagers could have been much better I think, it sounded much much better in my head while I was walking! And too thank you for relating to the weekend blues, because sometimes people think I’m a bit crazy when I say it seems like it never was. You got it.

ryc: The links to the video hosts are on the rockers page. But I will go back to that post and explain that and about what it will take to complete that kind of project.
I learned a bunch of stuff from collaborating online with a video for a Ze Frank project. My portion was very tiny, but I learned how to use the camera (which camera to use) and how to convert film into the right kind of file and then how to send it via an online drop box. That was cool. I had to learn most of it alone by searching online for direction, but the conversion and drop off things were given to me through links. Since then I have contributed to projects at the ORG. I think I am up to 18 projects there. Most of it is pics and prose. I collaborated with one artist there to try to apply for a grant at the MacArthur Foundation, but we decided to try next year since his new baby is due to be born any second. We used google docs. They can be edited by multiple people who are given permission to do so.
I thought that particular assignment would be a good one for people to try since it would involve using a social network and various lines of communication. I have to get to that site and clean it up tonight. Still doing house stuff. Ugh. Thanks for letting me know where I need to clarify things. I appreciate that very much!
