I’m asking for more advice. And I don’t even feel bad doing it because over the years, I’ve given you more advice than you ever wanted, I’m sure. It’s a protected post, kinda personal in spots.
DON’T think you’d want my advice since it’s always the same—get a guitar
RYC: My mom’s heard nothing about the job… but I know that the editors at the erotica place are insane. I encouraged her to apply to the universities and libraries around here, but she’s working on her two (or is it three now) novels. I think she’ll play with them forever, always working for perfection. I know that’s how the writing goes, in theory, but I also know how she likes to milk the projects to death. The guy who wrote that comment about it being the in-thing to do is a friend of mine from high school in San Antonio. Secret crushes and him getting along with my mom and silly not-so-drama and stuff. *marvels at how the Internet keeps people together*
If he is not someone you feel emotionally vunerable about ,and you trust his basic inclination towards decency then do what feels good ,but if there is anything you sense that makes you uneasy don’t do anything till it lifts…confused by my flip flop? I am like that I get frozen seeing things from all sides.
RYC: I have tried subbing out some stuff and it’s been very frustrating. I have no desire to grow a business. I’m not ambitious that way. I like being solo. Just need to figure out how to work the pipeline better. Or how to get out of “selling my hours.”
