  • This is so rude but I’m at my sister’s and were were having a meeting to decide what to do about my mother.  Then we ate and after an hour or two talking about stuff I finally couldn’t stand being this close to a computer that worked.  So now they are talking and I am typing.  It’s a little distracting but I just wanted to check in.  I’m taking my computer in tomorrow to see if they can figure anything out.

I made crab and corn chowder for this dinner and it was great.  We all got along and other than me sitting here ignoring them it’s  been swell.

The wine and cheese was unproductive, except that I met a good financial advisor.  I kind of already have one but this new guy might be better.  What I thought was going to be a chance to meet people was really a sit-down dinner and power point presentation by a f’  woop. my brothe rsays we’re going   bye

  • It’s kinda like watching a junkie happen upon an abandoned meth lab.

  • I’m that way too when away. The computer is like a magnet, drawing us in……..

  • i haven’t had chowder in such a very long time.  makes me want some, but first i must blog…

  • whenever i’m out and I happen upon an internet connection– I always say i wanna just check my email (but really I’m checking out my xanga)… then of course I delete the “history” of where all i went on the ‘net (real-life friends/relatives, with a very few exceptions, don’t really know about my blogaddiction)…

do your people know you were blogging?

  • i know it’s rude, but i have the same reaction! what did you decide about your mother?

  • I’m the same way, even at the airport I want to go snag a computor, they suck with their little mouse in the middle, it eats up all the minutes just trying to get somewhere…tehe, we’re junkies!!!!!!marilyn

  • Oh, I get that same pull when near a computer that has internet— who can help it? At least you were with family, it’s excusable to be rude. ;0) The chowder sounds wonderful!

  • A sit down dinner to decide what to do with your mother????Judi

  • Xanga withdrawal? Say it isn’t so.

  • Hahahaha. Any computer, any place for Xanga!

  • Thanks for taking the time to update us! I confess I did this at my sisters after she went to bed, but I wanted to do it while we were all watching silly tv.

  • Gawd, yes! I’m the same way! My computer has been down all this month. Long story short (today’s blog). I have to Xanga every time I come across a computer. I discovered that ………actually, when I was on that cruise. Yes, sneaking to buy up minutes at premium rates to check in!

  • oh, I can almost hear you whispering…..tehehe!

  • The chowder sounds great.  I’ll need to talk chowder with my mom when she returns from Colorado.

  • So quickly we get addicted to “always online” stuff!  TNG sends text messages via the cell phone when he’s away–and he’s not even addicted like I am to email. I seem to always have at least one computer on in the house, often two. And I check email obsessively although most of it is not worthy.

  • I need a good financial advisor. I don’t have the courage to handle money myself and I’m just on the verge of another business, or maybe two.  I get a market report every week but I don’t understand it, so I gave up reading it. I have a finance company I believe to be good, but how do I really know at my level of ignorance?
