Like many of you, I’m doing Nanowrimo so I’ll have to make myself scarce for the next month. I’ve missed my book but as a result of doing a few of those Featured Grown-up topics I picked up some new readers. Rather than going back to the book I decided to focus on getting to know you. Come to find out, a lot of you, I have a whole bunch in common with.
My original readers know I started this second book on Xanga, posting protected, chapter by chapter. And I relied heavily on the advice people gave. I’m a little bit scared to be heading off alone but it will free me up. The thing I hate and the thing I’ll appreciate
is that I won’t be editing. Knowing I had an audience each night made me sweat the small stuff. I guess there’s nothing too small to sweat but what I’m looking forward to is just writing the story; getting some good momentum going.
What I’ll hate is myself in the morning. I remember from last year what it was like. Instead of sitting down to lovely comments from you I would make myself go straight to the 1600 words I’d thrown together the day before. Oh, the embarrassment. I’d have to hurriedly pick through it, fixing the more offensive wrongs. I’m going to try not to do that this time. Because, really, that’s my favorite part and I don’t like to be rushed. I like the first edit to be leisurely and thorough. I’m getting myself all worked up; this is like foreplay.
So I’ll be checking in and you do, too. I’ll try to keep reading everyone but I’m not going to comment much. (Sure, Pru).

sounds like a great strategy… it’ll keep the juices flowing and concentrating on just getting a good rough draft to work on the rest of the year!
Just enjoy writing & let me know where/when I can read the rest of your book.
I am going to just write. I wonder what new things I will discover about myself.
ryc: I am learning by trial and error. It takes a long time. I still have not tried to load photos.
Your post was the first I’ve heard about it. Do you have a link & some info about it?
Thanks yourself. Your recent comments have helped me continue in some new direction. And, in fact, when I was doing that writing exercise I had thought it would be good for you to do as well, on or offline. What I’ve found in the past is that when I make lists and then look back on them later, much of what I’ve written down has come to pass. And some of them have been “big” things (published with a byline, for example) and some of them little (another bookshelf!), yet somehow the act of writing them down moves them into some part of my active brain that then finds a way to make it happen.
So we should both be scarce for a bit with NaNoWriMo… Good luck! And have fun.
Well here it is November 1st, and I am commenting! Get back to work…I say to myself! Good luck.
Being one that meditates for the perfect word for weeks when i’m SERIOUSLY writing…that contest is too much for me
Never done Nanowrimo; the pressure makes me nuts. But good luck with it, I know it’s been very good for some people. Check back when you can.

Thank you Prudy. I checked out that link & it is what I thought…I found it last year but too far into November to be able to actually get something done. I will try to take a stab at it this time around but am also in a poetry class right now so we’ll see. I guess to at least get some writing done on a novel would be an accomplishment in itself. RYC: As always, thank you for your feedback.I made some adjustments
Well….the best of luck to you on this journey! Be well and have fun!
Oh man, i had written a long comment entry and then closed my window on accident! Well here is an attempt to re write it all again:
As far as the market is concern, if a big dog is telling you that the food market is good, odds are he is already in that market and is waiting on people like you to join up
So the question he should have answered was, what stocks in the food market are doing well, are starting trends, making the moves, etc. Any good trader knows that the market, in terms of any particular stock, can be outlined by its technicals, charts, etc. For instance MSFT looks good right now as long as it does break that 24.25 support or the 23.67 support, i think you’ll be fine. In the short term it seems to have gone on the up rise from that down trend but need time to see if the uptrend is going to hold. Its past its 25.12 resistance and is now a good support level as well. Overall, the stock is doing good for long term holders. Intel doesnt look bad either, as long as it doesn’t get close to call on that 21.87. Generally a good long term hold as well. Its got a long term up trend even if it has in the short had a nasty decline. PG, wow, nasty up trend (nasty meaning bank!
) On the three year charts it seems to be doing well. For the past year and a half it has been moving sideways which means the market doesnt know where to take the stock, buts not a bad call depending on where you got in. if you check the resistance level and the support levels, its good a good uptrend ring to it for the long term.
Just know that its all about the technicals to me. I get in and out depending on what the chart says to me. CCI is important because it determins when I buy and sell short term. Oh, a good site to visit is http://www.americanbulls.com, just type in the symbol and look at there awesome calls on the idividual stock. Its my kinda site
As far as the food stocks are concerned, just look at the technicals and follow related news plus read up on actual documentation. Its a safer bet when you know more about the company then you do about your best friend
jk. Well, i hope that helps. Also, thanks for asking me
Oh, one last thing, i think ill start doing this online. The whole advice thing. But not just from me but from the public in general. I think ill take question in from the public and then just post the ones i think are important for the public to answer. Well, that might be just one part of the site im building. We will see.
If you want to learn more about CCI, google “Woody Trading System”, its a good system that pretty much looks at the CCI for everything
Oh, before I forget, I’ve been having problems with decision about going to Dallas next semester. I’ve been at Unv. of Texas at Austin for about 4 and a half years and Its getting increasingly harder for me to graduate from UT. I’m thinking of moving to Dallas were a great opportunity has come up. Working with my uncle and his construction business. He wants me to learn to manage it and learn everything he knows. Its pays 15 bucks while I train and then later could do more for me when I start doing what he does under the company. Of course I do plan to transfer my credits to either UT-Dallas or UT-Arlington because I still think its important to get a degree. I just hate that I didnt realize this a lot earlier. I guess its just where I was brought up. Another thing to is that I recently went through a bad break up with no closure because I was at basic training when I found out that she didn’t want anything to do with me because should could not handle being my friend or seeing me. Its a long story, but she now has a new boy friend and I still miss her a ton. I’m moving on but she was my first love, my first everything and I didn’t really realize it because she was my first and I had nothing to compare to, you know? Well, all that done with and I’m focusing on my future. I’m 22, i need to really start focusing on the future plans ahead of me. Although you know, I think im the kind of peson who hates not being in a relationship with someone because its a great feeling to know you have someone, and everything that comes with having someone special all to your self
Anyways, enough of that. Hope that answers your questions and more.
wow, that was long! Sorry.
GL with the nano. It appears a lot more people that I know are doing it this go round.
what’s a nanowrimo? about stocks, oh my god, i recently attended a stock/investment seminar and i did not understand a thing! it just seemed like they were speaking in language i don’t understand. it’s probably not as hard as i think it is. i probably just need to familiarize myself with the basics first. i’ve been working in the medical field for a long time and medical language is what i know. business and finance languages are totally foreign to me. i really do admire those people who understand it though. one day i hope to understand it.
i’m just passing by. i came to your site through pa_cuthbert. take care!
Good luck!!
Totally understand….comments not expected…get back in touch on the other side…and good luck with your undertaking…..Mia Lucia
Pru: I bet you come back anyway. You won’t be able to stay away. Heh heh heh…..
Lynn
Ooo….what a neat challenge. Let me know how it goes!
Wow! That sounds interesting. Best of luck with it. I look forward to hearing/reading the outcome.
BE blessed!
Steve
Good luck!
Nano we go
What is your book about, if you don’t mind me being so nosy. Especially someone who can continue on their second book, I personally find that amazing.
In response to your comment, as you said I am fully capable of close his mouth, but because of the conservative Asian side in me, I choose to tolerate it. It’s not always successful, but I still believe in human nature to be good. If you can respect them, they can respect you. I’m also not a very out spoken person. I’m the one who usually beats around the bush, runs around the world, sail the world three times before I can tell you directly what I mean in person. At least it only applies to people I don’t personally know. If they were my best friends, then it would be a different story. I don’t beat around the bushes with them. So no, I wasn’t curious on what would happen next.
Have fun and just write. Hope you enjoy NaNo.
I cannot write that much.
See you later:)
Peace and Love:)
I believe in momentum in your writing. Let it stream out, and momentarily damn the consequences. Good luck. You have a lot of stories in you, and a good grasp on the words to convey them. Go get ‘em, tiger. We’ll be here when you return.
Im doing Nano..its fun!
Im under
whatamidoing
Id love to be on your writing buddies list. Thanks!
There is nothing wrong with foreplay!!!! hehehe
dan
Good luck and have fun! As a writer myself, I know exactly the process you’re talking about. Someday I’ll have the time to get back into it…it is like a high working on a book, crafting the story…enjoy the creative process! :>)
I understand dear one, but when the month is over you had better get your bott back to commenting.
I couldn’t bare my soul when writing a book-it’s hard enough to do little excerpts let alone an entire book! One day, I’ll just pop on and let you all know I wrote a book-Please don’t tell me you hate it!!
Don’t be too scarce. You’ll be missed/
Did I hear foreplay?!!!! Ah, never mind-lol. Much luck to you in doing NaNo–a huge undertaking. I respect all of those that are in process. See you in another couple of days!
i started a novel once. i just don’t have the patience.
oh and by “started” i meant “started writing” not “started reading”
…quite a community you’ve woven together…here’s to 50,000…
keep writing…. *grinz at the thought of what you’re producing! my favorite writer says he never talks about the book he’s currently writing until it’s finished bc it steals the energy from the book… so just keep writing!
uMMMM Prime Rib, Pru, you and I share the love of some really incredible foods. Cheesecake, well now I have a great recipe that is just the creamy, rich and ever so sinful 2nd layer on top with the sour cream mixture. Oh it’s good!! Miss your site updating. Marilyn
Good luck with Nano.
Good luck and don’t sweat the small stuff…it really is not that important in the overall picture
I agree with several others: enjoy your writing, and come back when you can! Take care. . .
Gee I didn’t expect you to drop by for awhile…next year I may try to do what your doing..but I had absolutely no plan.thank you I had no idea how it would be recieved…I did not really work o it ..no tweaking…so it makes me happy that it actually lives if you knowhat i mean. Good luck with all those words..and ideas
I am having fun but I trip myself up when I go back to edit..Im at 8300 words and on track thus far..
the subject if funny and close to my heart so it is a good escpae from my current lifes turmoils. Thanks for dropping in!
Hope the writing so going really well, Prudy!
Don’t forget to breathe.
Peace and Love:)
I think you are going full steam with your nano writing.
Good luck with the thing.
Jeeze Prudy please put up even a one word post so we can post to something new!!! REad my post for the specialist..MY way of course. Miss your posts. Marilyn
Wow, so much discipline. No posting at all! I go through my bouts when I’m too busy and self-absorbed to need Xanga, but you’re amazing. I hope all is well with you!
Always surprised when i see you…thought you’d be too busy NaNoMoing it
Wow, I don’t think I could ever go through the writing process in public like that. My first drafts are very bad and I wouldn’t want anyone seeing them. (But then I am a perfectionist.) Good luck in staying in there. Several people I know have dropped out already.
RYC: There is nothing herbal that helps migraines like the ones I get. That’s why I go to a special clinic. Prune juice? You have to be kidding? Last time I tried that the results were horrifying and the gas was incredible. Nope. Not for me.
Lynn
Came over to say hello, hope the writing is going well.
Peace and Love:)
