  • Since I can’t comment, I’m posting.  You know, I was thinking about how this effects us, this lack of interaction.  And I thought about the people who never comment.  Okay, who almost never comment.  And I think this might be a good thing.  Typically they are better than average writers and maybe they are just writing for themselves.  But you can bet they’ll miss our comments.  Just like we miss their’s.

  • Well, dear it was nice to see this post, I didn’t know what was going on until I read this, thanks.

  • look…. comments have returned! :)

  • We’re baaaaack. I missed comments terribly; sometimes it’s hard for me to find the time and when I do, I want to be able to.

  • Ok, looks like new comments are up. It is weird to know there are things in my box that I haven’t read and can’t get at.

  • I was soooo frustrated when I couldn’t comment the past few days, and I’m upset now that my archived comments seem to be lost.  Maybe I’m just taking this Xanga thing too seriously, but I really did miss the interaction.  It’s amazing, though, what I got done yesterday and today when I WASN’T sitting at my computer. . .

  • Hi there..we’re baaaack! Now they just need to restore the old comments. This whole Xanga thing certainly has been frustrating. Happy Saturday to you.

  • xanga is just no fun without the comments! So, I didn’t blog until they were back on. And just when I was ready to fork over the $25 bucks for premium. I don’t think so now.

RYC: My son is 19 and just finished his freshman year in college. This is a better investment than throwing away money on a dorm room. Plus he has a medical condition that would make living in a dorm room a nightmare for him.
Thanks for the compliments on the pictures.

  • most college kids find dorm rooms a nightmare. especially if you are depressed or anxious or suffering from an eating disorder.

    anyway.

i like your website – very interesting. as a new yorker, ive never seen anyone involved in the stockmarket or trading who was even remotely thoughtful (unless of course it involved thinking about making more money). of course, most of the stock brokers/traders who ive met are men…

anyway, keep up the thoughtfulness : ) about everything.

  • While I like debates at certain xanga sites, I only post for the possibility of feedback. I’m not an “eprop whore,” but in posting “first drafts” if I don’t get responses, I get nothing out of the exercise (if people paid to read, then who cares if they comment). All that to lead to: thanks for your incredible efforts at offering feedback. It is truly appreciated. I may email you some specific responses/questions.

  • interesting “take” here ydurp; it is unique in that we get into a routine, posting, commenting and back and forth…and when that’s ritual is upset, it begets aggravation…lol…comments are a good thing, that’s how we learn, from other people’s opinions. sometimes anyway…lol

    take care

  • ryc:  Ya  know, he doesn’t?  And he’s online…and I’ve shown him how to find my blog.  At first, I was really bummed…since I think Xanga is just IT.  But I’ve grown used to it.  He’d rather go and try to unconvert xians or something. *smile*  I tried figuring it out once, but some things just aren’t worth the trouble.  I like my little corner of the web. I even invited him into a Yahoo! Group I had once…and no-go there, too. *shrug*  It’s all good.

    I love you…GFW

  • I do miss the interaction.  I think its a big reason most of us have public journals in this respect.

  • I know exactly what you mean.
